About Our Community Centre
Grimesthorpe Family Centre is run by Grimesthorpe Family Centre Trust, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (num: 1184732). It was set up in 1986 to “promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Grimesthorpe without distinction” and to “provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
Committee
Our community centre is proudly led by a dedicated group of volunteers who form our committee. Each member brings their unique skills, passion, and commitment to help create a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant space for everyone in our community. Together, we strive to organize events, maintain facilities and ensure that the centre is a safe and engaging environment for all ages.
Since we’re an all-volunteer team, our motivation comes from our shared goal of making a positive impact. We’re always eager to hear from our community, so feel free to reach out with suggestions or to get involved!
Activities
We have a large hall that is available for hire on a sessional basis and we have hosted activities such as yoga, youth clubs and boxing sessions.
Join us every Wednesday morning for “Tea & Toast” from 10am-12pm.
